| Obverse description | Irregular copper flan bearing the Arabic legend 'فلس' (Falus) in large, bold nasta'liq script occupying the central field. A small cruciform or floral ornamental device is visible at the center of the legend. The flan edges are uneven, characteristic of hand-struck hammered coinage of Afghan provincial mints of the late 19th century. |
