Obverse description Square flan bearing a two-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, divided by a horizontal rule across the centre of the field. The upper register reads 'Ghiyath Shah al-Khalji' and the lower register continues 'bin Mahmud Shah', identifying the sultan by name and patronymic. The lettering is raised in relief with pronounced diacritical dots, characteristic of Malwa Sultanate hammered copper coinage. The flan edges are irregular and show typical die-struck distortion consistent with hand-hammering technique.
