| Obverse description | Irregularly shaped hammered copper flan displaying three lines of bold Arabic-script legend in raised relief against a flat field, exhibiting characteristic Mughal calligraphic style. The inscription reads 'Falus / Badshah / Alamgir', identifying the denomination and the regnal title of Emperor Aurangzeb. The flan shows pronounced surface patination with green cuprite deposits over a brown copper ground. Die-striking is typical of Mughal provincial coinage, with letters slightly off-center due to the hand-hammered production method. No decorative border or floral ornament is present, the legends occupying the full extent of the available field. |
