| Beschrijving voorzijde | Irregular copper flan with bold Arabic legend struck in relief across the central field. The inscription, executed in a bold Naskh-derived script typical of Golkonda coinage, occupies the majority of the obverse surface and references the ruling authority. The strike is characteristic of hand-hammered provincial coinage, exhibiting uneven depth and flan spread. The field shows natural surface porosity consistent with copper alloy of the period. |

Abu Hasan Qutb Shah ruled Golkonda from 1672 until the Mughal conquest in 1687, making him the last sultan of the dynasty. Aurangzeb's forces besieged the Golkonda fortress for eight months before a gate was opened by a bribed official — ending a sultanate that had lasted nearly two centuries. Coins struck under Abu Hasan circulated only within that compressed final period, after which Mughal administration absorbed the Deccan mints entirely.
