Obverse description Central field bearing a stylized leaf motif flanked on either side by a sword, the blades pointing upward, rendered in a bold and rudimentary hammered style characteristic of Afghan provincial coinage. The devices are surrounded by a circular border, the flan being irregular in form as is typical of hand-struck copper issues from Qandahar. The overall composition is primitive yet intentional, with the leaf and swords serving as the principal heraldic device of the emission.
