Sebuktekin along with the Abbasid caliph's name, arranged in horizontal registers. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script occupies the outer zone, bordered by a beaded annulus and a plain outer rim. The bold, angular letterforms and broad flan are characteristic of Ghaznavid copper fals struck at Bost in AH 389 (999 CE). |
