| Obverse description | Frontal figure of a seated ruler depicted in Byzantine-influenced style, shown enthroned and robed in formal attire. The effigy is rendered in low relief with stylized drapery folds visible across the lower body. The figure appears to hold regalia or objects in each hand, consistent with Saltukid pictorial fals coinage of the early 12th century. The field is plain, and the irregular flan edge is characteristic of hammered copper production. The overall artistic treatment reflects the syncretism of Islamic and Byzantine iconographic traditions prevalent in Anatolia during this period. |
