| Obverse description | Central field divided into three horizontal registers by double lines, all contained within a beaded inner border and an outer dotted border. The field bears the name and titles of the Seljuk prince Mas'ud b. Qilij Arslan II in bold Kufic Arabic script, with a small pellet or rosette ornament at the apex of the upper register. Two small six-pointed stars flank the upper portion of the inner square. The overall design is characteristic of Anatolian Seljuk hammered copper coinage of the late 12th century. |

| Reverse description | Central field similarly divided into three horizontal registers by double ruled lines, enclosed within a beaded inner border and an outer dotted border. The field bears a mint and date inscription in Kufic Arabic script identifying the place of striking as Ankara (Anqura) and the regnal or Hijri date. The script is bold and angular, consistent with Anatolian Seljuk epigraphy of the period. The die is slightly off-center, as is typical of hammered issues of this series. |
