背面描述 Two lines of bold Nasta'liq Arabic-Persian script filling the central field, separated by a horizontal line dividing the die into upper and lower registers. The upper register contains the mint name and denomination, while the lower register bears additional text, likely referencing the date or issuing authority. The lettering is deeply struck in high relief against a recessed field, with a plain raised rim encircling the entire reverse, consistent with anonymous municipal copper fulus of the Safavid period.

附加信息

Ardabil held unusual political weight in the mid-seventeenth century — it was the ancestral home of the Safavid dynasty, site of the Sheikh Safi al-Din shrine complex, and a pilgrimage destination with enough economic activity to sustain its own local copper coinage. Anonymous fals issues of this type circulated at the lowest denominational tier, used in bazaar transactions where silver was neither practical nor available in small enough fractions. The A#3218 attribution places this within Allan's corpus of Islamic copper, a reference series that remains the working standard for anonymous provincial issues of this class.
