| Reverse description | Reverse field bearing a multi-line Kufic Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers, broadly parallel in layout to the obverse. The legend continues or complements the obverse text, likely including religious affirmations or mint-related formulae consistent with Abbasid provincial copper coinage of the Sogdia region. The strike is characteristic of hammered production, with letters rendered in angular early Kufic script showing slight doubling in areas due to flan movement during striking. A plain or lightly beaded border surrounds the inscription field. Surface patination is dark with areas of green copper corrosion, typical of buried copper fals from Central Asia. |
