| Reverse description | The reverse presents a multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in several horizontal registers across the central field, likely containing the shahada or dynastic titulature referencing the ruler Ahmad ibn Muhammad. A dotted inner border encircles the central legend, with a further marginal Arabic inscription running along the periphery of the coin. The flan edges are irregular and slightly ragged, typical of hammered copper fulus of the Afrighid period. The strike is moderately well-centered, with the legends legible though showing some characteristic weakness at the edges due to the irregular planchet. |
