Additional information

Denmark's smallest denomination survived well into the twentieth century largely because the eyrir retained marginal practical use in rural transactions and postal rounding — but the type was discontinued in 1942 as wartime metal shortages made striking one-eyrir pieces economically absurd. Bronze was already being redirected, and the occupation government had little patience for token coinage with negligible face value.

The multiple KM and Sieg references reflect genuine die and mintmark variations across the sixteen-year run, with the earliest strikes from 1926 differing in detail from later production.
