Additional information

Guillaume V has not yet acceded to the throne as of this coin's issue date, making this a rare instance of Luxembourg pre-designating an heir apparent on circulating coinage before succession. His father, Grand Duke Henri, remains reigning monarch. The practice is unusual in modern European minting and reflects the Grand Duchy's deliberate continuity planning ahead of an expected transition.
