| Obverse description | A detailed architectural view of the Gothic Cathedral of Meaux occupies the central field, rendered in fine linear engraving and depicting the façade with its prominent bell tower, rose window, and flying buttresses. Twelve five-pointed stars are arranged in a ring around the periphery of the coin, echoing the European Union motif.
