| 正面铭文 | sensibilisation pédagogie € 2002 C. CARDOT à notre future monnaie |
| 背面描述 | A swallow in flight is depicted in the upper central field, wings outstretched, serving as a regional symbol. Below, an oval cartouche encloses a detailed panoramic view of the Crozes-Hermitage vineyard landscape, with rows of vines, buildings, and trees rendered in fine engraved lines. A ring of twelve stars borders the left and right periphery in the style of the European Union flag. The legend 'EURO / CROZES HERMITAGE' arcs across the upper field, flanked by the inscription 'DE LA / 23.24 MAI 1998' referencing the date of the local euro event. The engraver's signature 'C. CARDOT' and the issuer's name 'CAVE PRADELLE' appear in the lower field. |

Issued by Cave Pradelle, a négociant operating in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation of the northern Rhône, this is a local currency token — part of a broader French tradition of wine-country bons that spiked briefly in the late 1990s as regional producers sought promotional instruments ahead of euro changeover. The timing was deliberate: 1998 placed these squarely in the window when "euro" branding carried novelty before the currency itself arrived.
Redeemable against cave purchases, these circulated almost exclusively as souvenirs rather than functional tender.
