| 裏面の説明 | Blank planchet reverse, identical in character to the obverse, displaying a completely plain, unstruck field bounded by a milled upset rim. The copper-plated surface shows natural toning and minor handling marks consistent with an unissued production blank. No inscriptions, value numerals, or decorative motifs are present. |

Blank planchets escape mint facilities through a handful of documented routes: rejected in automated inspection, pulled as quality control samples, or occasionally walked out during periods of lax oversight. Euro cent planchets are among the most frequently encountered mint escapees in the error coin market, partly because the low face value of the finished coins made theft of finished strikes barely worth the risk — blanks, by contrast, draw no suspicion.
