Reverse description The reverse depicts a geographic map of the European continent rendered without national borders, positioned to the left of the denomination. The face value 1 EURO is inscribed to the right of the map in bold numerals and lettering. The designer's initials LL, attributed to Luc Luycx, appear discreetly in the field. The design follows the common reverse type adopted by all Eurozone member states for the 1 euro denomination from 2007 onward.
