| 表面の説明 | Type VII counterstamp applied to the obverse of an earlier Costa Rican 1 Escudo gold coin. The counterstamp consists of a small circular punch approximately 5 mm in diameter, depicting a lion passant within an inner circle, surrounded by the legend HABILITADA POR EL GOBIERNO. The punch was applied by the Costa Rican government to validate and authorize previously issued gold coinage for continued circulation. The host coin's original obverse design remains partially visible in the field surrounding the counterstamp. |
