| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Liberty facing right, her hair flowing behind and adorned with an olive branch, occupying the central field. The legend REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date positioned to the lower right. Engravers' signatures SIMOES and REGO appear incuse at the lower truncation. The design is executed in a refined neoclassical style with a beaded border encircling the entire obverse. |
