Reverse description The quartered royal coat of arms of Spain surmounted by an ornate crown occupies the central field, displaying the castles of Castile and the lions of León in the principal quarters, with the escutcheon of the House of Bourbon at the center. Flanking the shield are the assayer initials and the denomination numeral 1 to the left and S to the right. The mint mark PTS (for Potosí) and the assayer initials PP appear in the lower portion of the field. The circumferential legend reads IN·UTROQ·FELIX·A·D, referencing the motto of felicity in both worlds. The entire design is enclosed within a toothed milled border.
