| Obverse description | Central bimetallic design featuring the Banco de Cabinda armorial device: a classic ogival shield bearing two crossed tridents, with the initials 'B' and 'C' flanking the point of intersection. The shield is rendered in raised relief within the inner copper-toned disc. The surrounding legend along the outer ring reads 'BANCO DE CABINDA' above and 'LIBERDADE' below, with the date '2003' also incorporated in the legend. |

| Additional information |
Cabinda is an Angolan exclave separated from the rest of the country by a strip of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and its secessionist movement — the FLEC — has been active since before Angolan independence in 1975. The "Banco de Cabinda" has no recognition as a legitimate central bank; this piece is a fantasy or proto-state issue, produced for a territory that has never achieved independence. These circulated nowhere.
