Reverse description The Chilean coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield with a five-pointed star, supported by a rampant huemul deer to the left and a condor with spread wings to the right, both facing the shield. Above the shield, a three-feathered crest surmounts the composition. A scrolled ribbon banner below the supporters bears the national motto 'POR LA RAZON O LA FUERZA' (By Reason or Force). The date appears to the lower left of the arms, the mint mark 'S' to the lower right, and the denomination '1 ESCUDO' is displayed in large numerals and lettering across the lower portion of the field.
