| Anmerkungen |
The Banco Nacional Ultramarino served Portuguese overseas territories rather than the metropolitan banking system, and by 1941 this note was functioning in Mozambique, Angola, and other colonial possessions simultaneously — the same series circulated across multiple territories without territorial overprint, which complicates provenance attribution for surviving examples.
Four signature combinations are recorded for P#81, all pairing a rotating first signatory with the fixed countersignature of António dos Santos Viegas. The relative scarcity of each pairing varies considerably, and the Pinto Coelho combination is notably harder to locate than the others.
