The circular legend AMERICA CENTRAL arcs along the upper periphery. In the lower exergue, fineness, denomination, and assayer's initials are inscribed: 21 Qs. 1 E J.B., denoting 21 karats fineness, 1 Escudo value, and the initials of assayer Juan Barth. |
