| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Equatorial Guinea occupies the central field, depicting a shield bearing a silk-cotton tree (Ceiba pentandra) above a scroll inscribed with the national motto UNIDAD PAZ JUSTICIA (Unity Peace Justice). Six six-pointed stars arc above the shield, representing the mainland and island territories of the nation.
