| Reverse description | The French royal shield of arms — an escutcheon semé of three fleurs-de-lis arranged two above one — occupies the central field, surmounted by a large ornate royal crown with arches and fleurs-de-lis finials. The mint mark appears below the shield at the base, flanked by decorative stops. The circumferential legend encircles the design and incorporates the date of issue, the whole contained within a toothed border. |
