| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned Scottish royal arms — a shield bearing the rampant lion of Scotland — surmounted by an arched crown with fleurs-de-lis finials. A saltire cross (St. Andrew's cross) appears in the field to each side of the shield, serving as flanking devices. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the royal legend disposed around the outer circumference in Gothic uncial lettering. |
