Reverse description Incuse mirror impression of the obverse design, produced by the striking of the blank against a previously struck coin or the obverse die in an inverted position. The legend 'D / GEL / RIÆ' and the date 1756 appear in incuse relief, laterally reversed, surrounded by the characteristic berry sprigs and beaded border. This incusum is characteristic of a minting error or trial piece, wherein the obverse design was inadvertently transferred in intaglio to the reverse face.
