| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by the crowned heraldic shield of the city of Utrecht, displaying the characteristic parti-per-pale arms with vertical striations on the dexter half and a diagonal band on the sinister half. A civic crown with floral ornaments surmounts the shield. The design is unlegended, with no peripheral inscription, and is bordered by a continuous raised milled or granulated rim. This face is struck from a reverse die, making this a mule or hybrid piece with identical dies on both sides. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bearing the crowned heraldic shield of the city of Utrecht, identical in type to the obverse, displaying the parti-per-pale arms with vertical striations on the dexter half and a diagonal band on the sinister half. A civic crown adorned with floral rosettes surmounts the escutcheon. As on the obverse, no peripheral legend is present, and the field is enclosed by a continuous granulated or milled border. The use of a reverse die on this face confirms the hybrid nature of this mule striking. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
A mule struck from two reverse dies — a production error, not an intentional issue. Utrecht's municipal mint during this period was notoriously inconsistent in its oversight, and hybrid pieces combining mismatched dies appear across several Dutch city coinages of the early eighteenth century. Whether the result of a exhausted obverse die being pulled mid-run or simple floor negligence is unresolved, but the duplication is unmistakable.
Catalogued under HPM Su 19.4 and HNK 5110.6, placing it within a recognized — if small — population of documented Utrecht mule varieties.
