Reverse description The crowned arms of West Friesland occupy the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing two rows of lions passant guardant. The shield is surmounted by an ornate closed crown with floral finials. Flanking the shield on either side are upright laurel or olive branches, their stems crossing at the base, forming a symmetrical wreath-like frame. The milled edge forms a decorative border around the entire design.
