Obverse description Central shield of Gelderland, divided vertically into two quarters, each bearing a rampant lion facing inward in high relief. The shield is surmounted by an ornate crown with floral and jewelled detailing. The circumferential legend IN DEO SP NOS is distributed around the field, reading from lower left to upper right, separated by the crowned shield. The coin is struck within a beaded border.

Obverse lettering IN DEO SP NOS
Reverse description Large interlaced VOC cipher (monogram of the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie) dominates the central field, formed by the conjoined letters V, O, and C in bold relief. At the top of the field, a mintmark flanked by two rosette ornaments and a small bird or heraldic device is positioned above the monogram. The date 1757 is inscribed in large numerals in the lower portion of the field. The design is contained within a beaded border.
