| Obverse description | Central crowned oval shield bearing the arms of Cleves — a quartered escutcheon featuring a fleur-de-lis cross — flanked by two rampant lions as supporters, each facing inward toward the shield. A large open royal crown surmounts the shield. Below the escutcheon, an ornamental foliate mantling extends symmetrically into the lower field. The design is executed in bold relief with no peripheral legend. |
