| Obverse description | Crowned heraldic shield bearing a rampant lion to the left, set within a wreath of tulip branches flanking both sides of the design. The wreath is divided at the base by a small escutcheon of Bouillon. The overall composition is typical of early seventeenth-century Low Countries hammered coinage, with an irregular flan and bold relief striking. |
