Reverse description The reverse presents the city name and date arranged within a four-lobed quatrefoil frame, formed by four arched segments meeting at decorative cusps. The initial 'U' occupies the uppermost lobe, the word TRECHT fills the central field horizontally, and the date 1657 is placed in the lower lobe, together spelling 'U TRECHT 1657'. The quatrefoil is enclosed within a beaded outer border, lending the design a refined, architecturally ordered appearance characteristic of Dutch Republic municipal coinage.
