Obverse description The obverse bears the provincial name WEST FRISIAE inscribed across three lines in the field, with the date positioned below. A privy mark in the form of a turnip appears centrally above the inscription, flanked on either side by a rosette ornament. The overall layout is plain and typographic, without figural imagery, consistent with the utilitarian coinage practice of the Dutch provincial mints of the early eighteenth century.

Reverse description The reverse displays the crowned coat of arms of West Frisia at centre, depicting two rampant lions passant in pale on a quartered shield, surmounted by a detailed coronet. The shield is encircled by a symmetrical laurel or olive wreath, the branches tied at the base, lending a decorative frame to the armorial device. The composition is heraldic in character, rendered in low relief typical of provincial Dutch copper coinage of the period.
