| Reverse description | Central field displays the crowned arms of the city of Deventer: a shield bearing a rampant eagle, surmounted by a municipal crown. The shield is flanked on both sides by laurel or oak branches forming a wreath that frames the entire composition. The eagle is depicted facing left in a heraldic posture. The die work is characteristic of hammered copper coinage, with slightly uneven relief and a rustic, bold aesthetic typical of Dutch provincial municipal issues of the mid-17th century. No legend appears on the reverse. |
