| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears the city name CAMPEN arranged in two lines over the date 1639, all rendered in bold, primitively struck capital letters characteristic of early seventeenth-century hammered coinage. The inscription is enclosed within a decorative wreath or foliate border, with a small rosette or star ornament at the apex. The overall composition is simple and typographic in nature, with no figural elements, reflecting the modest civic coinage tradition of the Dutch Republic period. The lettering occupies the majority of the flan, with the date positioned in the lower portion of the field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the city arms of Kampen: a fortified gate with a central arched portal flanked by two square towers, each surmounted by a smaller turret, rendered in a bold, stylised manner typical of hammered civic duits of the Dutch Republic. The gateway motif, a longstanding symbol of Kampen's civic identity, fills the field almost entirely. No legend is present on the reverse, with the design enclosed by a plain or slightly irregular rim. The struck relief is somewhat flat and irregular, consistent with the hand-hammered production technique. |
