Obverse description Central field displays the abbreviated city name of Deventer in three lines of large capital Latin letters — DA / VEN / TRI A — enclosed within a wreath of laurel or olive branches that frames the inscription on the right side and partially along the lower field. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hammered copper coinage of the period. No additional devices or symbols appear in the field.
