| Obverse description | Central field bears the Latin city name TRAIECTVM (Utrecht) arranged in three horizontal lines, with the date below, all enclosed within a wreath composed of tulip and foliate branches tied at the base. The inscription is rendered in bold capital letters with characteristic early 17th-century letterforms. The wreath frames the legend symmetrically, with floral terminals at the top. The overall design is simple and heraldic in character, typical of Dutch municipal copper coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central device features the arms of Utrecht: a heater-shaped shield divided diagonally, with the lower-left half bearing elaborate foliate and scroll ornament. The shield is surmounted by a decorative foliate crest with volute finials. Flanking the shield on either side are large symmetrical scrollwork cartouches formed by bold foliate volutes, characteristic of the Mannerist style prevalent in Dutch civic coinage of the early 17th century. A dotted border runs around the inner circumference of the coin. No legend appears on this side. |
