| Obverse description | Draped bust of Ranuccio II Farnese, Duke of Parma and Piacenza, facing left, with long flowing hair and elaborately decorated armour featuring foliate ornamentation at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a refined Baroque style. The encircling Latin legend reads RANV·FAR·PAR·E·PLA·DVX·VI, with the engraver's initials GGF appearing in the lower field beneath the bust truncation. A beaded inner border frames the design. |
