Obverse lettering PHILIPPUS V · D · G · HISPANIARUM ET INDIARUM REX
(Translation: Philip V, by the grace of God, King of the Spains and Indies.)
Reverse description Elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Spanish Habsburg monarchy surmounted by an imperial crown, supported on either side by rampant lions standing on a decorative base entwined with the chain and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The date appears in the upper field flanking the crown. The circumferential Latin legend is divided around the shield, reading ARCHID · AVST · DVX · BVRG · BRABAN · Zc, separated from the milled border by a plain inner field. The overall composition exemplifies the rich heraldic baroque engraving style of the early eighteenth-century Southern Netherlands.
