| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Charles II, depicted in middle age with long, flowing curled hair cascading over his shoulders, wearing armour with ornate lace cravat visible at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque portrait style characteristic of the Southern Netherlands mints of the late 17th century. A mint mark appears below the bust. The circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading from the left side of the field. |
