| Reverse description | A full-length frontal figure of Christ stands in majesty within a beaded mandorla (elliptical glory) lined with small stars arranged around the perimeter, his right hand raised in blessing and his left hand holding the Gospels. The mandorla is enclosed within a beaded border. The surrounding Latin legend is an abbreviated votive inscription invoking Christ as ruler. The design follows the canonical reverse type of the Venetian ducat established in the thirteenth century and maintained with remarkable consistency through successive doges. |
