| 背面描述 | Crowned heraldic shield of the Mandelli family arms displayed within a beaded inner circle, the escutcheon surmounted by a prominent crown with visible points. The quartered or divided arms are rendered in the compact style characteristic of Italian feudal coinage of the period. The circumferential legend SACRIQVE ROM IMP VIC PER 1622 encircles the shield, referencing Giacomo III Mandelli's title as Vicar of the Holy Roman Empire and including the date of issue. The overall composition is bold and heraldic, consistent with the numismatic conventions of the Italian states under Imperial jurisdiction. |

Maccagno was a tiny imperial feud on the western shore of Lake Maggiore, and the Mandelli family's minting rights were perpetually contested. Giacomo III exercised those rights aggressively in the early 1620s, producing gold ducati that circulated well beyond the feud's modest borders — largely because .986 fine gold needed no apology in any market. The CNI records only a handful of surviving specimens.
