1 Ducato - Filippo Spinola

Tassarolo was among the smallest of the imperial fiefs scattered across Liguria — a pocket territory whose mint output was negligible by any commercial measure. The Spinola family held it under Habsburg grant, and the right to strike gold was as much a prestige instrument as a financial one. Filippo Spinola's ducati were issued across a seventy-year span, which almost certainly reflects multiple individuals of the same name rather than a single lifetime issue, though the coinage was never differentiated by regnal year.

The MIR census records surviving examples as rare. Most known pieces come from old Italian collections.
