Obverse description Draped bust of Margrave Wilhelm Friedrich of Brandenburg-Ansbach facing right, with long flowing curled wig rendered in high relief. The effigy is depicted in armored dress with a lace cravat visible at the truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait reading WILH. FRIEDRICH. MARG. ZV. BRANDEB. ONOLZB., identifying the ruler and his titles. The bust occupies the majority of the coin's field, executed in a bold Baroque style characteristic of the Nuremberg medallic tradition.
