| Aanvullende informatie |
Wilhelm of Rosenberg, the last male of his line, struck these ducats in the final years before the Bohemian branch of the Rosenbergs extinguished entirely with his death in 1592. As the highest-ranking nobleman in Bohemia without a royal title, Wilhelm maintained the rare privilege of issuing his own gold coinage — a right jealously guarded and increasingly anomalous in an era when Habsburg centralization was steadily absorbing the monetary prerogatives of the nobility. The two-year window of production reflects his declining health rather than any policy change.
