Obverse description Central field features the quartered Hungarian-Angevin shield, displaying alternating horizontal bars and a plain field, rendered in a bold heraldic style characteristic of 14th-century Wallachian coinage. The shield is surrounded by a circular Cyrillic legend reading the voivode's name and title, arranged within a dotted inner border. The lettering is deeply struck in an archaic Cyrillic script typical of early Wallachian ducats. The overall design reflects the strong Hungarian dynastic influence on Wallachian numismatic iconography of the period.
