正面描述 Central field bears a shield divided per pale (split vertically into two halves): the dexter half charged with four horizontal bars, while the sinister half remains plain. The shield serves as the principal heraldic device of the Wallachian voivodate. A Cyrillic legend, rendered in an archaic and error-laden hand consistent with early Wallachian epigraphy, encircles the design. The overall style reflects the crude but characterful execution typical of hammered medieval coinage from this period.

附加信息

Vladislav I — known as Vlaicu Vodă — issued these small silver ducats during a reign defined by careful maneuvering between Hungarian suzerainty and Ottoman pressure from the south. The "ducat" designation is something of a misnomer; these pieces borrowed the name from the Venetian gold coinage then dominant in Balkan trade, despite being struck in silver at a fraction of the weight. The MBR Type IIIb2 classification distinguishes this subtype by specific die characteristics within a broader emission that numismatists continue to refine.
