| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a central cartouche of elaborate baroque design, flanked on both sides by ornate foliate and scrollwork decoration, with additional decorative elements at the top and bottom of the frame. Within the cartouche, the denomination and fineness specifications are inscribed in five lines of bold Latin capitals: 1 · SPECIES / DUCAT / 23 ½ · KARAT / 67 · STYKKER / 1 · MARK · BRUTO, indicating that 67 pieces were struck to one mark gross weight at a fineness of 23½ carats. The typography and cartouche style are consistent with the neoclassical trade coinage conventions of the late 18th-century Copenhagen Mint. |
